Road Trip by jensen-nicole Road Trip by jensen-nicole
Taken while driving down the freeway today.

Dad: "I think you got the mirror in that picture."
Me: :iconsigh-plz:

I think he thought I was taking a picture of the landscape or some such nonsense.

EDIT: 1) I wasn't driving. My dad was driving. 2) Thank you to everyone who wrote a critique—I appreciate them all—but I have closed critiques on this photo. There are plenty of other photos if you're itching to critique something of mine. ;)
Okay, here is my critique! My goal is to let you know both the positive elements I see in this picture as well as things that could use some improvement. :3

First, Vision- I gave you 4 stars because I really liked what you were attempting to get here. You are obviously on a road trip, based on the title, the vehicle, and the highway sign in the corner of the picture. It is obvious that you put some effort and thought into this photo, which I like. You've got a creative streak in you and good job for using it!

Now for Originality...I gave you 2.5 stars because I have seen pictures like this before. This is not a picture that would stand out too much compared to others that are similar to it. But you could easily change that with a bit more editing, which I'll get to when I talk about-

-Technique. I gave you 3 stars here because what you've got is good, but it could be even better. For example, the colors are a bit dull. Tweak around with the color elements a bit and see if you can make this a little more vibrant. Also, it might have a bigger impact if you cropped it a bit. On the bottom edge of the picture there is quite a bit of car door shown, and it's a bit distracting. Maybe you could get a little bit more of your whole face in the mirror. Just experiment a little; with this kind of picture you have endless options. :]

Lastly, Impact. I gave you 3.5 stars because this picture definitely left an impact on me, despite the lower ratings I gave you for Originality and Technique. This is a pretty picture, and really interesting! It's hard to get good reflection pictures, especially in a moving vehicle, but you did a great job. I like how "everyday" this looks. Nice job! Keep up the hard work and don't give up because I definitely see potential! :)

dude, why is it that whenever i have a seemingly good and original idea, someone always does it before me!? i swear, it's like my life is broadcasted to everyone on earth and that's why i can't get my thought out! well, they always do better than I can possibly think anyways....
